I’ve been matched betting for the last 18 months now.

I was introduced to it by a mate who had been doing it for years and was constantly making money.

Once I had used up all the account opening free bets and bonuses, I had to work a lot harder to find a way to make money without suffering qualification loses as well as avoiding bets that would highlight that my account had a profile of a serial matched bettor! That was a tricky job to do as a lot of the bets that were being flagged up by my software as a good bet for a matched better were often on obscure sporting events around the world – not great when you are trying to keep your betting account under the radar.

I read about betconnect on one of the main MB sites and wanted to see for myself why this was being talked about as the perfect home for a matched bettor. Having looked into it and eventually opening an account, I soon realised that it was in fact the perfect stage for a matched bettor like myself!

The main reason I use the site is that I suffer no qualification loss on any bets that I lay on betconnect.  Any bet I match on the betconnect platform, I will always make sure that I can get the same odds with one of my online bookies. Having zero qualification loss means you are maximising your monthly returns.

For horse racing bets, with zero qualification loss it means that you can match bets on betconnect and get some BOG promotions without actually suffering any loss at all. Its amazing how many of these horses can drift in the market and when the SP is bigger than what I have matched on betconnect I get the difference as free money! I had one last week where I matched the Pro £100 at 8/1 EW and it won at 12/1, making myself a nice £500 for the privilege. Not only are horses good for the BOG promotions, it also means you are not constantly putting obscure sports bets through the account. Horse racing bets are great for a match bettor as it helps the profile for my account to have some racing business go through. The best value for me on the horses is the TV racing bonus where you back a winner at odds of 4/1+. Again, all I have to do is match a Pro on betconnect and when it wins at 4/1+ then I keep the free bet for the next race. I don’t share any of this bonus with betconnect. Again, its not unusual to have 2 x £50 winners credited as a free bet on the ITV races. Now and again, I get asked to match a bet at say 5/1, when I know I can back the same horse at 6/1 providing I have a full selection of accounts available to me. I find that the best BOG promotions work better with eachway bets that I’m matching as these can easily go from 10/1 to 16/1 in a heartbeat.

I also match a lot of rugby bets on the site. Again this is good to keep the account from being profiled as a matched bettor. It gives the impression to the bookmaker that I bet across multiple sports which is what us matched bettors want the impression to be! I use these bets as a lot of the time the pro is asking for 10/11 and I can find the same bet available to back with say Skybet at EVS which is a nice arb if it wins.

I use my bet365 customer loyalty bonuses to offset laying betconnect bets.

Where I have had some amazing wins is on the football bets. I always used to play the 2UP promotions for a small qualification loss but that got quite expensive so now I just lay them on betconnect and place the same bet with 365 and PP. Its so nice to watch a game knowing that if the team comes from 2-0 down to draw, or even win then I get paid out by the bookies with the 2UP promotion and win from betconnect too! In the last 3 months of the season I had 4 of these bets come in, and because of the no qualification loss its ideal. I have won over £2500 from the 2UP promotions.

Back to horse racing, every week I get bombarded by these bookies telling me about money back specials if my horse loses the first race or just free bets that ordinarily I would never end up using. Now, because I am using betconnect, where possible I try and use all these money back offers that are sent to me.. As an example, I get my stake back at skybet if my horse finishes 2nd, 3rd or fourth in the 1430 Royal Ascot on Day1. I would match the bet on betconnect and then place the same bet with skybet, so I am cheering the horse on to finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th. I would then win from betconnect and get money back from Skybet!

There are always free promotions on offer from bookmakers ranging from whether you get your money back if the horse doesn’t win, or bookmakers boosting the odds of your selection. You could match a bet on betconnect and then go and place the same bet with a bookmaker and achieve a better return by backing it at a bigger price through these odds boosts. Its amazing that some of these Pros are looking to back horses at a shorter price than I can get myself – this is the purest form of matched betting you can find!
