Welcome back to Brooke’s Best Bits. The excellent cricket pro 86048066 was the top performing betconnect pro again last week, recording a weekly ROI of 123.7% from 13 bet requests. 86048066 made most of their profit on the ‘Top Bowler’ market, landing bets at 4/1 and 10/3.
The most connected pro on betconnect last week was Homeandhosed, who gained 35 new connections. After cleaning up on the horse racing the week before, the punters have obviously taken notice, and they don’t want to miss out on any bets!
The ‘Best Bet of The Week’ title goes to Kelly, and no surprise, it’s a first goalscorer bet… Last week Kelly backed the Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic at 11/2 to score first in their Europa League tie against Chelsea. To Kelly‘s delight, Frankfurt took a surprise lead in the 23rd minute, when Jovic scored an exceptional glancing header. Chelsea equalized just before half-time through Pedro to set up a massive game at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night. Congratulations to all the punters that followed Kelly‘s bet in!
The extra category we’ll be looking at this week is the ‘Unluckiest Pro’, which goes to portland. portland backed Sams Profile at 11/1 in the 18:05 at Punchestown last Friday. Sams Profile‘s previous run was at the Cheltenham Festival in the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle. He was very well supported that day, and ran a solid race into 5th. At Punchestown on Friday, he was again well fancied in the market, going off as the 6/1 joint second favourite! Coming into the home straight, Sams Profile was traveling strongly under Davy Russell, but it was the 13/2 shot Reserve Tank who had the lead. Unfortunately for portland, Sams Profile just couldn’t find that bit extra to pass the leader, and finished ½ length down in 2nd place. A very unlucky bet!
