American star Dustin Johnson will be looking to do some scouting this weekend when he plays at the AT&T Pro-Am at Pebble Beach.
The world number three arrives at the tournament in superb form after he won the inaugural Saudi International last weekend.
Johnson travelled fired home a round of 67 to see off a late challenge from China’s Haotong Li.
His win allowed him to close the gap on world number one Justin Rose while Brooks Koepka sits second in the standings.
Johnson admits he loves playing at the Pebble Beach course in California which will also host the US Open in June.
A win this weekend could give him the perfect preparation for the second major of the year and he is 11/2 to lift the trophy.
Australia’s Jason Day cannot be overlooked when looking at the odds for the Pebble Beach Pro-Am after recording five top-six finishes in nine appearances.
Day is 9/1 to win this weekend but there is no Rickie Fowler after his victory at the Waste Management Phoenix Open last weekend.
Matt Kuchar is one man you can normally count on to give you a run for your money and at 28/1 he is well fancied.
The fans’ favourite finished in the top five in Phoenix last week and has already won in 2019.
Kuchar lifted the Sony Open in week two of the season and he will fancy his chances this time around.
Chez Reavie is a slightly bigger price at 30/1 and he also placed in the top 10 last weekend.
The same can be said of Branden Grace who is 35/1 to win this week, just five days after finishing behind Fowler in Phoenix.
